Camp Butterfly: Founded in 2004, by Mama Niambi, Camp Butterfly offered a transformative one-week summer experience for teen girls of African descent. Nestled in serene orchard country, it fostered emotional healing, cultural identity, and personal growth in a supportive environment.
The Butterfly Movement: Inspired by Camp Butterfly's success, The Butterfly Movement emerged to extend empowerment beyond summer camps. We're dedicated to year-round initiatives that nurture Black women and girls through personal development, entrepreneurship, and social advocacy.

- Incubation of Small Businesses: Focusing on land, food, and art ventures to foster entrepreneurship.
- Social Advocacy: Advocating for justice and equality to create lasting change in communities.
The Butterfly Movement is hosting the reunion as an homage to the significant impact of Camp Butterfly, which took flight from 2004 to 2015. Camp Butterfly is the practical model outlined in the Project Butterfly curriculum created by Mama Niambi.
The impact of Camp Butterfly on the lives of the girls who attended, the dedication of the staff, and the realization of the transformative power of such a supportive environment fueled the birth of The Butterfly Movement. It grew from the desire to extend the camp's mission and principles into year-round initiatives that could cater to personal development, entrepreneurial incubation, and social advocacy for Black women and girls. Led by Brandi Mack & her daughters, The Butterfly Movement which continues to hold circles, camps and deep connections to land as a tool for regenerative development on both personal and professional levels.
